The Body is a Vessel
This exhibition delved into the fascinating concept of the human body as a repository for memories, emotions, and experiences. Inviting the viewer to contemplate the body in a more holistic manner by recognising that it contains intangible elements that are not readily apparent. Using metaphorical language to suggest that the body serves as a container for a range of feelings, both positive and negative, which can be accessed through recollection. By doing so, they highlight the importance of memories and experiences in shaping our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

The human body retains a wealth of experiences, memories, and emotions, which shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. These personal perceptions are often hidden from external observers, making supportive relationships and networks crucial to individual well-being and success.
Take the Pill (2023) Polystyrene and Clay In cases of serious mental illness, medications play an important role in stabilising and relieving severe symptoms. Through the advancement of medication, scientists have investigated how medication can suppress certain memories linked to negative emotions. Although this can be seen as a positive, the artist poses the question, why is medication often used for the vast majority of minor mental health cases? Is this a viable long-term solution?
